Foundation

A foundation is a tax-exempt public charity that enables people like you to accomplish your charitable goals. You financial contributions become part of an endowed fund that is professionally managed.

The UCA Foundation is registered with the Washington Secretary of State and its investments are managed by the Washington Trust Bank. This year the assets have increased by $143,449.60. You and your family and colleagues are encouraged to continue giving to the foundation to help the endowment grow even more.

Like all charitable foundations, a volunteer board oversees operation of the UCA Foundation. Our board is made up of alumni of Upper Columbia Academy. All board members are alumni and friends of UCA who work together to identify qualified young people that need financial assistance in order to remain enrolled at Upper Columbia Academy. Scholarships are awarded to meet specific needs of the student and help them prepare for a productive future. Together we can make a difference.

How the Foundation works

The Upper Columbia Academy Foundation is a simple idea. Anyone may use it to give something back to their school. As noted, we use professional investment services to manage our assets. We offer power and flexibility in charitable giving without the legal paperwork, time and expenses associated with running your own private foundation.
